The last week has gone by with lots of fashion shows, runway trends being repeated and created. From sheer bodice to floral dresses, tassel tops and Indian handlooms the designers did their best to give the best in fashion for the coming season. Here are 5 trends we spotted and loved at the Amazon India Fashion Week SS16.
White: White seems to be the new black. Every designer had a glimpse of white in his/her collection. Starting from Vaishali S, Rabani and Rakha, Vineet Bahl on day one to Dhruv Kapur, Geisha Designs and Nikita Tandon on day three and four all of them made it clear that white will be dominating our wardrobes this summer.

Asymmetric cuts: If you are tall, this trend is meant for you. Dresses and gowns with asymmetric cuts have always been designer duo Gauri and Nainika’s favourite. This time, too, they took the trend forward and presented a few eye-catching dresses. Nikita Tandon, Payal Pratap, Payal Jain, Malini Ramani, Poonam Dubey amongst others also followed this trend.

Sheer: Designers love sheer and they are simply not planning to let it go so soon. Organza skirts and crochet tops dominated the runway this season. From Gauri and Nainika’s pastel dresses to Rabhani and Rakha’s net saris and Anand Bhushan’s sheer sportswear they all followed the trend and made it even more appealing for the seasons to come.

Floral: The first thing that comes into your mind when I say spring is floral. Spring has always been incomplete without some floral printed dresses and maxis. Designers like Nida Mehmood, Payal Jain, Pratima Pandey, Amit Aggarwal, Tanvi Kedia and Hemant and Nandita presented printed floral dresses and flowy beachwear. Where Nida and Hemant and Nandita took us back to the 80’s Payal’s collection took us to the beachside.

Layering: In summer a lot of us avoid to layer our garments, the scorching heat and humid weather makes it a little cumbersome to carry but the designers teach you how to do it right. Layering your outfit is one fashion rule we all should follow in our daily routine but we often forget it. Designer duo Rohit Gandhi Rahul Khanna along with designers such as Ragini Ahuja, Lovebirds, Anamika Khanna and Taneiya Khunja show us how to do it.
